The Story: Drawing inspiration from the humble Iranian “Karaj” typology,
we designed a contemporary residence that bridges the gap between
past and future. This is not just a house; it is an architectural dialogue
between the grounded warmth of handcrafted red brick and the airy,
modern precision of exposed concrete.

Built to embrace its surroundings, the home features floor-to-ceiling
glazing that dissolves the boundaries between the interior sanctuary
and the lush garden. Inside, the space feels open and breathing, washed
in soft light diffused through textured glass blocks. It is a modern home
with an old soul—robust, tactile, and designed for a sophisticated
lifestyle.

Karaj House bridges the gap between heritage and modernity. Drawing
inspiration from traditional Iranian utility structures, this new residence
combines the grounded warmth of handcrafted red brick with a sleek,
exposed concrete upper volume. Featuring floor-to-ceiling glazing and
textured glass blocks, the design dissolves the barrier between interior
and garden, creating a home that is robust, tactile, and full of light.
